What Are Friends For?

To strengthen and sustain Hunter Library by supporting its activities and programs.

To serve as a medium for encouraging gifts and bequests to Hunter Library.

To offer an opportunity for interested people and organizations to come together out of a common interest in the library of Western Carolina University.
Why Should We Be Friends?
Like any good friendship, this membership serves personal needs, but also brings the pleasure of participating in a worthwhile, on-going activity that serves the community and university as well. Additional advantages are:

A special Friends card providing borrowing privileges, subject to university regulations, at Hunter Library.

The opportunity to meet and enjoy others for whom books and libraries are a special interest.

An invitation to an annual event with a noted author speaker.

Receipt of Hunter's Clarion, the library's newsletter, to keep you informed of services, materials, and events in the library.
