Interlibrary Loan - Lending Policies
This page is to present Hunter's lending policies to other libraries. Individuals should use the interlibrary loan services at their home library.
| We Accept | OCLC requests (symbol: NMW), ALA forms by mail, fax, or Ariel, and email requests using the IFLA Guidelines for Sending ILL Requests by Email. |
| Billing | Prefer IFM but will invoice with material. |
| Loan Period | One (1) month, one (1) renewal. |
| Charges for Loans | We do not charge except reciprocally to those who charge us. |
| Charges for Copies | We do not charge in-state or SO6 libraries, with the exception of reciprocal charges to those who charge us. For all others we charge $10.00 per article. |
| Special Formats |
Available for loan: theses, CDs, DVDs (to SOLINET members only), microfilm (up to 6 reels per mailing), state and federal government documents Not available for loan: reference materials, video cassettes. Special Collection items are lent at the discretion of the Special Collections Librarian. |
| Delivery | We use the US Mail library rate for most of our loans. For copies we use Ariel (152.30.6.124), US Mail, or fax. We do not charge postage except for overseas delivery. (Due to our rural location, Federal Express can actually take longer than first class mail.) |
| Replacement | We charge cost plus $20.00. |
