Scholarships for construction management (CM) students exist through many construction industry associations and there are those that are sponsored specifically for WCU CM students by companies.

Research Your Options

Students interested in applying for scholarships should do as much research as possible on their own while seeking out scholarship resources. There are some search engines on the Internet such as FastWeb.com where you can register to receive scholarship information via your email account.

Scholarship Offer: ABC Construct Education Foundation Scholarships for undergraduate enrolled in two- or four-year construction-related program. Student must successfully complete at least one year. National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC)

Scholarship Offer: NAWIC Founders' Scholarship Foundation (NFSF) for undergraduates (there are two scholarships available: Undergraduate Scholarship and the Construction Crafts Scholarship) enrolled in two- or four-year construction related program. Student must successful complete at least one year. A minimum overall GPA of 3.00. Scholarships range between $500-$2,000. Deadline: application must be postmarked February 1 to be considered.

The Fluid Power Educational Foundation (FPEF)

Scholarship Offer: Fluid Power Educational Foundation Scholarships (a limited ongoing scholarship to a key school) for undergraduate or graduate enrolled in two-, four-year, graduate engineering, or technology related program. A minimum 'C' grade average in power fluid courses. Graduate from high school with a 3.0 overall average. Deadline must be postmarked June 1 to be considered. Other scholarships with no key school are FPDA and the Ursem Memorial Fund (some specific requirements).

National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA)

Scholarship Offer: National Asphalt Pavement Association Research and Education Scholarship (NAPAREF) (renewable up to two years) for undergraduate enrolled in two- or four-year accredited college/institution in civil engineering, construction management, or construction engineering related program. Scholarship ranges between $1,000-$2,700.

National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA)

Scholarship Offer: Each year the NUCA Scholarship Fund awards two four-year scholarships, one two-year scholarship, and a one-time $2,500 award to rising seniors who are pursuing higher education. Eligible applicants are dependants of NUCA members or their company's employees. NUCA funds the scholarships through its annual golf tournament and individual donations.

Scholarship Offer: NSSGA Scholarship Program provides 13 scholarships including 10 $2,500 scholarships to college students who have an interest in pursuing a career in the aggregates industry.

AACE International

Scholarship Offer: Applicants must be currently enrolled full-time students who have achieved at least second-year academic standing in a program related to cost engineering/cost management. Applicants in their final undergraduate year must have been accepted to attend a full-time graduate program in the next academic year to qualify for a scholarship. AACE International scholarships are awarded for use in the fall term of the next academic year. Scholarships are available in amounts ranging from $750 to $3,000.

Scholarship Offer: The Kimmel and Associates Grant for Students in Construction provides $1,000.00 for up to 100 students annually. As this is a grant and does not work through the auspices of any particular universities or colleges, Kimmel and Associates accepts and reviews all applications and awards all prizes without prejudice toward any institution. We seek to award the Kimmel and Associates Grant for Students in Construction to those whose current course of studies, intended course of studies, and past and current affiliation with construction companies indicate a dedication to the construction industry

Scholarship Offer: College sophomores and juniors enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time, four- or five-year ABET or ACCE-accredited construction management or construction-related engineering program are eligible to apply. High school seniors and college freshmen are not eligible. Our renewable scholarships are worth $2,000 per year for each year of undergraduate study, up to a maximum of $6,000. Over 100 new scholarships are awarded each year. Best of all, there is no application fee. All scholarship applications must to be postmarked by November 1 to be considered

Centex Homes – “Build Your Future”
